    Pours a lightly cloudy, dark honey hue; no head per se but it does present a lasting, thin ring of foam inside the glass; some sticky, arching rings of foam mark each sip from the glass. Rich aroma; earthy sweetness with toffee, honey; dried apricots and figs. The taste amplifies the nose; richer sweetness on the palate offset with a bold bourbon undercurrent; honey and apricot notes again; cinnamon and star anise hints; strong sense of bitterness percolating beneath the sweetness and booze. Heavy, near-syrupy body; bold and sticky; big alcohol warmth and heat throughout.

    If your tastes leans towards simple, easy beers, stay away from this one! This massive beer exudes malt richness and sweetness, infused with excellent examples of bourbon, dried fruits, and honey. Personally, I love this kind of beer. It doesn't not disappoint on many, many levels.
