What beer are you drinking now? #4915

1) Other Half Cabbage (7.9% canned 12/20/26): A NEIPA from NY with Vic Secret, Motueka, Simcoe, Mosaic for flavors of orange, passionfruit, white grape, mango and melon.
versus
2) Other Half Late Night Juice Run (8.3% canned 1/28/26): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Ekuanot, Nelson for flavors of mandarin orange, sage, grape, berries, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Other Half IPA Battle. First is Cabbage. Fantastic combo with the Mosiac and Motueka for flavors of berries and limes. Surpassed the three month mark and still drinking amazingly tropical.
Next is Late Night Juice Run wit the Ekuanot and Nelson combo. A bit of pepper and spice from the Ekuanot. Plus white grape, tropical berries, pineapple, orange, mango. The Citra Nelson combo is near perfect. One of the best I've had from Other Half in some time.
Winner: Other Half Late Night Juice Run

 

I removed myself to the comfort of The Elbow Room and poured a DubNug only to hear from the boss that we have to leave momentarily to pick up pizza. As Shakespeare said, "once more unto the breach, dear friends."

Sierra Nevada Narwhal (10.2% bottled 9/2025): An Russian Imperial Stout from California with flavors of espresso, baker’s cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted grain, and a hint of smoke and pine.

The Narwhal aged 6 months. Bitter roast and pine upfront still. Settles out with a smooth chocolate and roast underneath. The alcohol is hidden extremely well. Nice interplay of pine and roast upfront with the smooth chocolate off the end. This is approaching peak age right now. Outstanding. Digging the posts from the @GreenBayBA in MLPS crew. It looks in full swing. There is great beer poured today BeerAdvocates.
