I had an old Nakamichi cassette dub deck that was mighty fine.

 

Got rid of that garbage a long time ago.

 

I never got into them...I guess just too much stuff to have with everything else...they are much harder to find, and its much easier to get into CD/Vinyl collecting, and I only have so much space ha. But yeah, otherwise love em. I just love physical media in all its forms.

My Uncle always tells a funny story about my Dad. He is way older, like 12 years older than my Dad. When he was in Vietnam, he catalog ordered a reel to reel with speakers and amps, the whole works. They were sent piece by piece back home...were my Dad was waiting at around 15 years old...and he just set it all up in his room. A month later my Uncle's letter arrived after all the gear stuff...saying UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES was my Dad to open and take the equipment...by the time my Uncle got back, well they were basically my Dad's property at this point, and he never got it ha.

I have a vintage 1975 Sony table top cassette deck. My father bought it at Sam Goodys. Still works and prob the best sounding deck I've ever owned.

My standard reply is that the gnome is on Facebook and that’s enough for the household.

 

Yeah I did to but it got to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore. The only aspect I miss is the connection with old friends

 

I'm funning. I am the last person to lecture anyone on Nutrition. I also am not interested in leaving a healthy-looking corpse either

 

Our neighbor was in the importing business and I got the deck at a steep discount after tutoring their daughter.

 

I would just go on an unfollow/unfriend spree if it got that way for me & just keep the positives. A lot of garbage does still get through, thanks Meta...
