Happy Easter to those who celebrate! We had a great service this morning followed by a potluck brunch. The Church was packed. But I feel bad for anyone who was planning outdoor activities since it is a washout. This lovely lady is My Beautiful Liar, a DIPA collaboration between Tin Barn Brewing Co., in Sugar Loaf (Orange County), New York (about an hour north), and my hometown brewer, Autodidact Beer. Citra, Cryo Citra, Cryo Nectaron, and Mosaic. An inspired recipe! I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!

1) Other Half Late Night Juice Run (8.3% canned 1/28/26): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Ekuanot, Nelson for flavors of mandarin orange, sage, grape, berries, and mango
versus
2) Mortalis Ares Nelson (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Mosaic, Nelson for flavors of orange, tropical grape, blueberries, melon, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. A Other Half versus Mortalis IPA battle. This one is a banger. Both with some of that sweet Citra and Nelson juice. First is Other Half. Bright floral Nelson plus Citra both combining for a tropical grape/berry and balanced by the floral and pepper from Ekuanot. This is more amazing everytime I drink it.
Next is Mortalis. The Citra/Mosaic/Nelson trio, I'd describe as the perfect trio. Tons of orange, bright pineapple with the tropical berries/grape and a distinct mango note. Slightly sweeter and one of the best IPAs I've had from Mortalis which means one of the best I can remember. Interesting battle. I slightly prefer the bright floral and pepper balance in Other Half. Both of these are amazing and World-Class.
Winner: Other Half Late Night Juice Run

Gotta cash this last Mellow LT. Glad to have tried a few. Other Hazies are in my future along with a growing number of Imp Stouts.

Loved it on tap when i visited the WNC region 10+ years ago and can attest it is still great on tap! My local market carries this and i've been shocked to see this maybe 1-2 weeks from packaging and on special runs $17 for a Twelver.
