    Thanks - it was pretty tasty. This is asparagus season around here so the asparagus was really good and fresh. I have plenty of ham leftover so I will probably make some sort of soup with some of the leftover ham. Cheers Russ!

    I remember that being a big deal over in Germany, especially the White Asparagus, the sauce made it, was a iteration of Hollandaise sauce, awesome!

    I've never had the white asparagus, although I've seen it. White asparagus is grown without sunlight so it doesn't produce chlorophyll and turn green.

    My favorite way (way I did tonight) is to mix it with some chopped garlic, chopped shallot and olive oil, and then roast it in the oven at 425 or 450 degrees. After it's done. I squeeze the juice of a lemon over it. And of course, salt and pepper to taste. I like a lot of coarse ground pepper.

    Couldn’t agree more. It’s one of those beers where I have it every few months and then wonder why I don’t drink it more. Also enjoy it more in bottles for whatever reason, maybe because of the overall lack of craft bottles on the market today. Enjoy!
