The X-Hero beers use two pretty cool hop products: Abstrax and Euphorics. It lets us pack the beer with flavor and aroma without over-bittering them or making the mouthfeel too heavy. Hops in that concentrated of a form can definitely can hit differently to some palates such as yours (me too!), but it achieves a couple things that are pretty important for us in these beers: making them dangerously easy to drink, and making the recipe affordable enough that retailers can price a 10% Hazy IPA the same as Anti-Hero on store shelves.
Different question for you folks, especially Season Ticket Holders. I'm in a meeting right now discussing what merch item we should include as a bonus with the ticket this year. Should I push for another glass, or would you prefer a different type of item?
Appreciate your response and links regarding the two new hop products. Guess I’d have to see the alternatives to a glass, but I have enjoyed and utilized the glasses provided with each Deep Woods season ticket. Always a thoughtful design and nice glass to have. Thanks.
A challenge coin? I've seen references to people requesting BA do a challenge coin for the society. I do not know too much about them but understand it's a military tradition which has become common in other contexts. Was looking online and saw a few nice looking bottle opener challenge coins too. Obviously Rev uses cans these days so maybe not the bottle opener aspect. Anyway, just throwing it out there but not sure how much interest there is for this. Could have a new one for each year even.
Glass or maybe a shirt would be my thought. As for the glass, I personally appreciate larger capacity, tulip style glasses to allow for plenty of headspace on pours for better aromatics.
think it has to be a glass, although many have been done at this point. The cognac snifter and larger snifter from an handful of years ago are both excellent glasses.
Revolution / Beer Temple cask ale collabo. Tasting great: A straightforward, refreshing Golden Cask Ale brewed with English Kent Goldings hops. Light, crisp, and easygoing, this classic pour tips its cap to the early days of Revolution Brewing. Brewed exclusively for The Beer Temple.
A high quality wood and steel church key would be a nice alternative. I have multiple season passes, so I've been gifting glasses to friends in recent years.
I'm a little late here, but: If I come home with another glass, my wife is gonna kick my ass. Bottle opener or something else fun would be a bonus. Thanks for asking! ~Vinnie Z
