Hey every one, can you believe it we brewed another IPA here at Toppling Goliah . This Hop Patrol IPA features the new Mosaic hop which is in its first year of its official release. Get on into our taproom brewery and let us know what you think so we can contract them for the future or go back to the drawing board.

    Cheers!

Clark, anything to add about the mosaic hop? What are your general thoughts so far?

Mosaic definitely has some tropical aspects to it. Some people get orange and pineapple, others get blueberry out of them. Hope to hear more and more thoughts from people and what they get out of them.

    Cheers

SA Lat 48 used it in their newest batch. Would rather try a TG. Distro in Omaha, please.

We'll probably send a little Pompeii to Hudson, so keep an eye out!

Assassin will be coming pretty soon after our filler is up and running. We haven't determined the final blend yet, but we've got a real nice selection of barrels that have been aging Assassin for 12-15 months including some 20 year Elijah Craig barrels that are likely to be big portion of it.

    Cheers

Well....here goes. Mike and I both liked the potential of the hop and here is what I have tasted. At its very peak in the brite tank the aroma and taste of pineapple and blood oranges was huge for me. From the kegs I still get huge pineapple along with a tropical/citrus blend. Lingering but not overbearing bitterness and when I am not looking for it the taste of blueberry hidden in the fruit blend. Subtle grapefruit and a little dankness lurk in the aroma upon warming before gulping!.

Thanks for letting us know your thoughts.

    Cheers!

I'll try to bring some up to see if our neighbors think thumbs up or down!

I just had an IPX from Hopworks Urban Brewery here in Portland (their rotating single hop pale). I thought this was very grassy, earthy, and some herbal character (almost too much). Very bitter as well, but you won't hear me complain about that.

That sounds really good to me as I probably like beers a lot more bitter than most and pile on the pungent nature of the hops! I'm looking forward to my next trip to the 101 and catching up on Portland beers on my way through.

    Clark,

I put up an ISO in the forum earlier this week looking for your beers and had also noticed you were releasing a new Hop Patrol (I believe the announcement came the next day). Thankfully I should be able to work something out with a local trader and if I am fortunate enough to try Pompeii, I'll be sure to review it! I'm actually having trouble deciding what to trade for.

Thanks Barry! Good or bad let me know and good luck with the trade. I am anxious to get these beers in bottles to make it easier to trade for our beer.

    Cheers!

I never tried the Red wax Assassin, but the Gold Wax one was awesome, one of my favorite "big boy" stouts.

    Red >> Gold

And the Gold was terrific. I still have 1 bottle of each.

    Clark,
Is there an impending bottling of your beers? If so, when and might they see distribution?
