Good afternoon BAdvocates. Errands have been ran so I get to stay home for the rest of the day and enjoy a beer. Drinking a Kona Big Wave blonde ale. Blonde ales are generally hit or miss with me. From what I remember their Longboard Lager was a much better brew.

    Cheers all!

    1) Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls, & Money (7.8% canned 1/20/26):
A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit and orange citrus flower, vinous white grape, gooseberry with some pine and berry to balance. Juicy, complex, and clean
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Supa’ Sue-Mo (7.8% canned 3/13/26): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra and Mosaic for flavors of orange, juicy pineapple, melon, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Toppling Goliath IPA Battle. First is Fire, Skulls, & Money. The great trio of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson. Thoroughly enjoying this still, but should probably drink through some of the stash. It's good, but won't be good forever.
Next is the new release Supa' Sue-Mo. Citra and Mosaic. So I'm expecting everything King Sue, plus Mosaic Mamba. Sure enough. Big orange, tropical melon, berries, mango. The Citra and Mosaic hops each add so much complexity it has more flavors than a lot of IPAs out there. Robust flavors. Juicy, tropical and sweet. Hides the Hop burn well which Toppling Goliath has surely improved on as of lately. Definite freshness bias today, but no doubt this is still outstanding.
    Winner: Toppling Goliath Supa' Sumo

Genesee really needs to make this one a permanent offering.
It's one of the best tasting lawnmower beers I've had. It didn't stay on shelves nearly long enough. Fantastic dry hop finish.

Brew day is done. Almost done cleaning up and time to toke up.
The wort tastes pretty good, probably going to taste better than the St.Pauli Girl of days gone by? I hope?
Just aiming for a decent tasting yard beer.
    Cheers!

Unfortunately this was canned in June of last year, but still drinking great.
I still don't know what kind of beer this is ,but nonetheless it is amazing as always.
The Henry McKenna is the sprinkles on the icing on the cake.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout now near room temp. Getting notes of dark chocolate covered raisins, espresso black coffee, smoky blackstrap molasses, roasted nuts, tobacco leaf, ashy char, some toasted brown bread, toffee, caramel, and mild earthy hops. A revelation imo compared to the regular Extra Stout and Draught. Really potent stuff. Cheers all!

    Revolution Anti-Hero (6.7% canned 1/2026):
An American IPA from Chicago with flavors of grapefruit, orange marmalade, resinous stonefruit, and bitter pine.

This is always drinking top level. I'm going to have to restock soon hopefully with a fresher batch.

For dinner I made angel hair pasta with ham, peas, and scallions sauteed in garlic, olive oil, white wine and hot pepper. It's simple, but one of my favorite dishes. It never fails to satisfy!
