Pivara Skopje - Skopsko Smooth

A cold filtered variant of the flagship brew. I honestly don't see how it made a difference other than remove any flavor that was there.

 

Local Streets - Folos Kapnistos Zythos

Had to move to something more flavorful after lunch. Super smoky lager from a brewery in Volos, Greece. Apparently (had to look this up) Folos was the name of a mythical centaur living in the mountains above the city in ancient times.

I'm sipping on this Wit from Port City out of Alexandria Virginia, canned February 11th.

Fits the style well enough imho but Wits are not my favourite style.

House Stout (2026) from Brewery Ommegang. 16 fl oz can, purchased 02/04/26 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. $ 3.75/$ 0.235/fl oz. In reefer at distributor, stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 10/04/26, review 3722.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 Uncredited label art. Not much to say – when the appearance and the palate are better than the flavor and aroma… Despite the rating, it just doesn’t have nose and flavor to make me want to finish this can, let alone buy more.

Local Streets - Valtia

Back on the piss with this tasty Baltic Porter. A collaboration with Anastasiou, which you can tell from miles due to the cool old-fashioned label, depicting what I believe is the port of Volos. But this being a Baltic Porter, this could be Gdansk, Ust-Luga, or St. Petersburg.

Explorium IX Anniversary Imp Stout aged in Weller single bourbon barrels 12% 22 months in the barrels. A night in the box! Cheers!
A new brewer & beer for me and I'm not familiar with Weller at all but I imagine this beer will soothe me quickly. It is like delish chocolaty used motor oil or like oil-based Jacobean wood stain. An impressive brew that will take a while to cruise thru.

 

Watch out for those explosive exclusive Torpedos!! Get those beers in your fridge!
