The 1st beer I ever drank by myself was Guinness FES in 1979. I don't know when they changed labeling and such but now, as a Beer Advocate, I know it was their FES. Then a few yrs down the road my buddy liked Michelob Dark and I discovered Heineken Dark. Oh man. What a fun time. And today I'll have this Drekker VIP Very Important Pistachio Dubai Chocolate Milk Stout. Cheers!!

I chuckle every time I say that beer name

 

Good evening, all! At SingleSpeed in downtown Cedar Falls, IA. I came here on Sunday to get a pour of Gucci, a taproom-only limited-release imperial stout. The hours listed on their website were wrong and they were closed on Sunday. And yesterday. I went shortly after they opened today and found out they were tapped out, as it were. I settled for a pint of another of their new releases, Good Times, a gose brewed with passionfruit, pink guava, coriander, and sea salt. Paired with a couple of Korean BBQ street tacos. Prost!

 

Another IPA but this one wasn’t brewed in Richmond. Close though.

 

I really enjoy this Baltic porter from Bissell Brothers. A big boy at 9.2%
