Excellent open and thanks for sharing and glad he is all snuggly warm and enjoying a fine Spring day in northern France.

Still a bit shaken up after Gerald Chaney appeared to be choking up having to stop singing Lift Every Voice and Sing for Jackie Robinson Day. He was actually having a major health episode and collapsed while singing. Thankfully he has reported to be recovering in the hospital. The way it unfolded, I feared for the worst. Dedicating this post to his speedy recovery.

Got my new water heater installed yesterday afternoon - took a little longer than it should have - had to cut off a faulty cold water shut off valve, and install a new one...but all good now and hot H2O in the Boathaus! Yay!

Starting off with a tasty German Maibock - one of my favorites for sure!

Tree House - Illuminate wheatwine to start the day here, a nice strong sipper, and cold this time which didn't really change the flavor to me. Interesting notes of bruised yellow apples, apricot marmalade, orange citrus, white figs, rich honey, light caramel, toffee, toasted bready graham crackery malts, subtle coconutty vanilla, dried fruit, and earthy piney hops. Pretty tasty and a little different. Cheers all!

Today, it's a beautiful spring day, out here in McGregor--and when they're not distracted by the birds outside, both cats Gracie and Sundae are very pleased to help me as I investigate the day's brews...both a second-time experience with the beers, and a celebration of Ontarian craftsmanship in the area. It's a good beer. Perhaps a bit tame for the style but really EZ to crush.

I had a last minute trip to Connecticut and of course I managed to visit Tree House Charlton.
My BIL (who is English) and I thought we might try the English Mild. Very disappointing. It tastes like they took their milk stout and added water to it.
