    Happy Saturday all!

La Trappe Tripel, yesterday afternoon we left Nathan to his grandma on my side to go shopping at the mall for a bit, and find some time for us. We enjoyed the opportunity to buy some photo from some photographs service there. You have a machine downloading the photos from your own phone and voila. The photo in the background and framed is one of our son from early March:

Good morning @Shanex, and happy weekend to all and sundry. Here's a thought for the day-- "Everybody Love Everybody."

Groovy thang! It's an IPA from Stoup in Washington. Lovely aroma of melon and citrus with a whiff of pine. Mouthfeel is bright and prickly with creamy carbonation going down the hatch. Very intriguing flavors of honeydew, passionfruit, and citrus peel. Distinctly bitter finish with some minerals in the aftertaste. Overall this is quite a decent hoppy brew and yet another notch on the pecker for Stoup.

Thanks for the open @Shanex and sharing your framed photo here. Also digging your music selection and Everybody Love Everybody theme and beer for today. This is a cross post from New Beer Weekend #301.

Full review linked above, full New Beer Weekend #301 take linked here. Short take, perhaps 6 months was too long, but this is an OK but meh experience. Would give it one more chance if I find fresh down the road.

Sadly, I'll be at the Sox game and not Hopleaf for Zwanze Day. Hope my brother @DTLVTOUR gets to make it to Silver Stamp to celebrate.

Cheers guys, and Jason: there’s enough hatred as it is in the world to spread love every now and then. You know?

    G'day all!

I little more snow last night and again, mostly on the vehicles.

I'm sipping on another Founders Porter. I checked my review from 2010 and realized that this was part of a trade with @russpowell ! Thanks again for the introduction to this awesome beer!

    Prost!

Good day BAs! @Shanex - thanks for opening the bar - Nathan sure looks happy! Today's New Breakfast Beer technically isn't new, because I always get a couple of them on draft at a restaurant Mrs Lizard and I infrequently frequent. But this is the first I've had at home under controlled conditions to review.

Have a good Saturday. Been up all night. Had a late night dinner and a movie. 6 lb pork loin in Instant pot for 1.5 hours. Valentina hot sauce is the best, I need to get another 35 ounce bottle. Interstellar is 10/10, clearly a 2001/Arthur C Clarke tribute. A lot of twists near the end. I thought those monolith looking robots were weird but cool. I was very on suspense/anxiety mode for a lot of the film. Also Matt Damon suddenly antagonist surprise! They also seemed to "kill off" a character in an even pace, including the robot dudes. Cliffhanger of some sort with him going to save Anne Hathaway's character. My wife also pointed out a YT channel she watches called CinemaSins and they had a video with Neil Degrasse Tyson talking about the unrealistic stuff. Roxy has been sleeping on my desk a lot. She leaves a 5 alarm dump in the box and then comes to suck up, I need to make some kind of arduino thing that senses when a cat uses the box and sprays a febreeze before I start gagging

Been up watching YT videos. Nileblue made human kibble out of fast food by blending and freeze drying big macs, pizza, and KFC tenders. Need to finish The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King today, I got 20 loans and two 24 hour books due in 3 days. It was my first King book 6 years ago, but I couldn't get into the mood of it, but now I realllly do. 4.5/5 so far. A bit of a kids book, but an amazing plot for all ages. I am now up to 83 King books.

Sierra Nevada Atomic Torpedo. Originally reviewed in 2022 from a stovepipe and 8.2%. Now up to 9.2%, pretty much the same as I remember. Amazing Cascade, Centennial, Mosaic profile. Very dank, earthy, and juicy hops with a nice sized malt backbone. This is really everything I'd envision as a modernized version of Torpedo if it was first made in 2021, but they made it an imperial. I will definitely buy again in a 6 pack. I always love Centennial and Mosaic. 4.35/5
