Been a while since I posted, been busy the last month between spring break and my classes with seniors wrapping up (they finish sooner than other students, they only have exams after May 1st). Unfortunately seems my program is being cancelled (at least temporarily) for the next year as the Spanish government is in disagreement about visas and working benefits for my fellow non native English teaching folks. Probably going back to the states in August so I’m enjoying it while it lasts!

Sipping on this Czech beer tonight. Enjoyable and light Pilsner, pretty good for enjoying the 72 degree sunset as the day winds down here.
    Salud!

Trillium Roman Empire IPA now with some Greek leftovers. Real nice, tasty and refreshing hoppy beer full of tropical passionfruit and pineapple notes, grapefruity orange citrus, stanky danky cannabis, and pale creamy oat malts. Cheers all!

Surprisingly light traffic on the Garden State Parkway this afternoon so I have time for a quick stop at Hidden Sands Brewery where I’m drinking Witty Orange IPA. Lots of Pilsner, white wheat, and spelt give it a dry, crackery taste with nice orange zest. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

I remember wanting a Sam Adams glass when they first came out. I picked this one up for $2 at a thrift shop.

Sierra Nevada West Ghost IPA in the glass...oh my this is fantastic.

The Great Concert of Cecil Taylor spinning...the out of print 3 LP free jazz concert with Sam Rivers, and is also fantastic.

    Review for West Ghost...

Pours a perfectly crystal clear golden/yellow color. A dense white head forms, and rises to two fingers at least. Retention for days, and lace left all the way down the glass. This is a looker, as I like to say.
Aroma...Oh man, big and bright up front in the nose. Citrus, pink grapefruit, pine resin, dank. A lovely spicy and floral character that balances this out. Love it.
Taste wise, like the nose, this pops. Citrus/pink grapefruit pith, pine resin, dank, floral spicy. Even a touch of a modern melon kind of fruity character. A faint grainy malt backbone, but a wonderful bitterness lingering.
A medium to full body. Effervescent carbonation, that is crisp, clean and super dry. As easy to drink as any IPA I have come across in a while.

This is spot on. All around really enjoyable and just one of the best new IPA's I have had in a long time. I will be getting more, and hoping Sierra Nevada continues to make this. I don't have much more to say, just get it.

Overall score is 4.27, easy A and one of the highest scores I have given in a while  For sure posting this on the NBW thread when it is open...

I've never had an Italian Kellerpils before until now. Cellarest Beer Project Più Bello 4.5% Foder fermented in Acacia wood. Very clean, crisp, and dry. Very nice snappy bitterness at the finish. Cellarest is one the most impressive breweries I've run across in a long time. This beer would pair well with a lot of meals. First class all the way. Thanks @CarolinaCardinals! This is a special brewery in Asheville, NC.

Good afternoon BAdvocates. I’m drinking a Hop Valley Citrus Mistress IPA. Very nice beer especially considering its age. Smell is lacking but oddly enough the taste is still quite bitter. Very tasty. 74 degrees outside with 12% humidity. Can’t complain :sunglasses:

    Cheers all :beers:
