I’m feeling dirty after the one neighbor said she was having a beer and wondered if I was bored with the GF out of town.

Enjoying this Victory beer with both neighbors after a chuckle about the wording of the invitation (which I did not actually misinterpret, to be clear).

On to my 2nd of the evening with this 9% Polish lager. Despite the higher proof, this has a very mild scent (honey + a bit metallic) with a likewise milder than anticipated flavor. Definitely not the tastiest brew but it was pretty cheap at the local alimentación (which rather than being Asian owned like most here in Madrid seemed to have an Eastern European proprietor, with an emphasis on goods and beer from that part of the world.
Might have to go back and try some of the other bottles I avoided due to the Cyrillic writing systems used.
    Cheers!

OK, let me tell you some backstory for Cecil Taylor's Unit band. One of the most out there, intense free jazz bands ever...really one of the most intense bands of any genre ever. Up until a few weeks ago, there was a grand total of ONE recording with Cecil Taylor's Unit and Sam Rivers...which I played previously. Just known as The Great Concert. That has been out of print, in any form for about 50 years now (outside of one bad transfer by a random guy, from the vinyl to YouTube). A couple of weeks ago...they finally released the only other known concert with Cecil's Unit and Sam Rivers...now known as Fragments, Live at Salle Pleyel, recorded in the same years as The Great Concert (I wonder if this means they will finally reissue this one after all these years ).

So, anyway...It continues to be an impressively gloomy and rainy day. It feels like it is around 8pm or something ha. Which is fine by me, I actually enjoy this...All the more reason to spin my free jazz and drink the big booze

Which is Bigfoot and Knob Creek 9 Year Old Bourbon, which you can ignore or not ha...but it is one of the better Bourbons under $30.
