New Glarus Kid Kölsch (5.5%): A Kölsch style ale from Wisconsin with flavors of pale malts, a floral and fruity yeast with grape and pear notes.

Breaking into one of my favorite Kölsch beers for the summer. This may be among the best. A distinct fruity and natural yeast flavor here. White grapes, pear, floral notes with hints of citrus. Fruity, yeasty, and clean without being tart. Amazing for the style. New Glarus nails this style. I'm going to stock up for the summer.

That brewery has other good beers, but I've heard from people who have brewed there that Dogs and Boats is something like 70% of thier output.

I pressure washed my personal patio a few weeks ago and now I'm on a 1-month project restoring/repainting the pergola after large flakes of paint came off. I'm on the clock to have it fully open for our annual Memorial Day blowout. Boy a pergola has many surfaces!

 

Made some pulled pork sandwiches, and potato salad...Saint Arnold Elissa IPA in the glass. Continuing on with my re watch of Deadwood. One of the best western TV shows.



I'm sure more Deadwood and Bourbon for me tonight...and I'll see you guys later.

 

Yeah man, I've seen many different brews from Beer'd posted and everyone seems to enjoy them. That's why I ordered it and was able to get it thru Halftime. Happy I did. Strong brew with a lot of qualities I like. I will definitely get more from this brewery. Cheers

Worked late today for a party. Marinating a skirt steak for the grill with this fine, fine brew.

TGIF. Great 25km trail run this am through snow, ice, and some slush. 3000ft of climbing left me dead after. "But I got better..." (for Monty Python fans).
