Despite BeerAdvocate being fast AF now, the homepage for logged in users was lagging a bit. Honestly, most of you could probably live with it, but I couldn't. To boot, the homepage is roughly 8% of our overall traffic and I know many of you use it on the reg to follow threads and whatnot. So I just optimized how I handle pulling Threads from The Bar and Trending Beers, which shaved a MASSIVE amount of time it takes to process and load.
