Have a good Monday. Was a good night of sleep I was exhausted last night. Was up at 830AM, and been listening to books all day. We went to Aldi to get more groceries, and they had a lot of new wine cocktails to try. Also need to get a bunch of cat litter for all the cats.

Finished up A Primate's Memoir by Robert Sapolsky: 4.5/5 all the way through, very readable scientific account. The end of the book is a sad story about how he lost all of his baboon troop to tuberculosis caused by infected meat scraps from a nearby tourist lodge.

In the afternoon: Vagabond by Tim Curry: 4/5. A very enjoyable account of his life of theater and film/voice roles. He narrated the book, it was slow/staggered, but given his stroke I was expecting it. I just sped up the book to 3x speed and it was fine. Was glad to hear him still doing well in work after recovering health-wise. He refused to put any romantic content into the book, stating in the introduction that it was a boring cliche of memoirs. He goes into his family history a bit too, but his career was the focus. Love The Wild Thornberrys voice character of Nigel as a kid the most. Need to watch Clue again with all of the different endings, and Muppet Treasure island. I never saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie either, so I'll have to give that a go soon. Same with IT, already read the King book a few years ago. Also goes in how much he hated going into the Makeup Chair in Legend and IT. Also freaking out people he worked with when they figured out his history as being a big demon/antagonist previously.

Last one today is a quick 5 hour book: Autocracy Inc. by Anne Applebaum: 4/5 A very readable short history of dictatorships and how they thrive while being critical of western democracy. A lot of recent looks into Russia, China and others. She has a big history of the Soviets. Quick and informative. Narrated by the author. Much of the stuff I was already aware about from the news.

3/20/2026 Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing. Great hazy IPA as always. Big Citra, Comet, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Mosaic juiciness with a balanced biscuit malt backbone. Light-medium piney drying bitterness. Nicely soft and smooth drinking.

Tennent's Lager a new beer to me. It is a fun varietal lager, nothing extravagant. Source: Luekens Oldsmar, FL. A little overpriced at 11.99 4pk, however I support the ideology of occasional enjoyment. Besides it doesn't taste "scottish" as in ale (more of a euro/helles). 8.5/10[IMG]

In Pleasant Prairie WI for work, this is The Hildy, a very nice Czech Pilsner from McFleshman’s Brewing Company. I’d gladly try this again.

Here's another East Coast classic brew! Genesee has been a staple based out of Rochester, New York since 1878. Sounds like a young-un when compared to yesterday's Hacker-Pschorr going back to 1417! Nevertheless, the brewing arts pass easily and enthusiastically between generations - In this case, proclaimed boldly across the can top - "Brewed for Generations!"

It's not easy finding original breweries still in operation out of original facilities, but Genesee is still at it, alongside the Genesee River in New York. This is a delicious, clean and super drinkable Lager, just the way Lagers were back in the 40's, 50's, 60's. Back when I was in my 40's, 50's and 60's that is!

The great thing are these 24 ounce cans! Just the right size to fit the mighty Beermeister32 Chugmaster 750 beer glass! Genessee Beer is a 4.5% ABV Lager, about 20 IBU, and very tasty, crisp and clean. This is such a nice drinker, I'm going to start shopping for some more next time I'm on a beer run over at Total Wine! Load up, it's a goodie!
