Good morning BAdvocates. I’m enjoying a Lagunitas IPA on this beautiful sunny Wednesday. The classic brews never disappoint.

    Cheers all! :beers:

Happy Wednesday BAs! Currently sipping on a Don de Dieu as I begin to plan the garden layout for this season. Cheers!

On to Two Tribes with the perfectly decent Campfire Hazy IPA. The taproom is 100% outdoors, though, so … I’m cold :joy:

Next up at Two Tribes is the Solar hazy IPA, at 4.5% basically a session hazy. It’s not too bad; better than the session pale at the last place. I’m drinking fast because it’s fuckin’ cold out here :joy: <chilly face emoji>

I'm back with a Sullivan's Black Marble Stout. Nice but I wish it was not a Nitro.

    Prost!

...another cold, wet, snowy day along the Front Range in Colorado Springs...interesting to see and hear the hummingbirds in this kind of weather (one of my pix from May 21st, 2022), but they're hardy little critters...also played Farmer BeerGoot by planting some tomato and chili pepper seed starters (primarily from home harvested plants from three years ago)...now time for the 'Fortress of Solitude' pleasures...

Oh man. The temps dipped down to freezing overnight. I fired up the wood stove early this morn. A bit of ice formed from the irrigation on lower small tree limbs.

Love that album and look forward to the 3 Duals i have in the fridge. Spring weather is no joke!
While it is warm and rainy outside, it is damp and cool in the house so i reached into the wine fridge and pulled this lovely coffee stout from Hidden River. Many thanks to @jzeilinger for sending this tasty brew - the last of an October 2025 porch bomb.
This is drinking nicely at 58 degrees. This mildly roasted impy stout rested on Coffee and Cocoa with each addition contributing a nice subtle flavor that also leaves me with a nutty vibe. Balanced and very easy to sip at 12.3%.
    Cheers!

Quaff NZ session IPA at Hammerton in London. Glad a lot of these London breweries do session-strength beers … I have a train to make tomorrow

Bayern - Paris Saint-Germain on in the background.

    1) Weihenstephaner Helles (4.8%): A German Helles lager with flavors of pale malts, bread, yeast.
    versus
    2) Benediktiner Hell (5.0%): A German Helles with flavors of pale malts, yeast, bread. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Weihenstephaner versus Benediktiner Helles Battle. First is Weihenstephaner. Smooth, soft. Bready and a some yeast. Clean and dry. This has grown on me. Outstanding.
Next is Benediktiner. Slightly sweeter. Not quite as smooth bread or yeast. It's sweeter. I'm picking Weihenstephaner here.
    Winner: Weihenstephaner Helles

My brother got me Some Girls for a birthday or something when I was like 16. So despite being (only? lolol) 44, I think this is one of the greatest albums ever. Top to bottom, front to back, this record is what the kids today would call an absolute banger.

    (Do kids still say “banger”?)

I finally got everything sorted out, and now I'm back on the website. Let me clarify: my wife did all the work, since I am computer illiterate.
So, this beer is for Jill, who saved me a ton of time and effort.
