Back home from Gainesville with a Jai Alai. It's an awesome spring day, 93 feels like 96 degrees.

 

Hump Day greetings BAs! Enjoying Zillicoah Hickory Helles 4.2%. A nice lighter start to the afterwork with a smoked malt note. This is very much understated vs the granddaddy Schlenkerla Helles but I actually like that as sometimes Schlenkerla can be overwhelming. Well crafted beer! Thanks @CarolinaCardinals!

 

Hop Butcher Broken Nose (7.0% canned 2/25/26): A WCIPA from Chicago with Nectaron and Nelson for flavors of orange, stonefruit, berries, and pine.

Hop Butcher with the Nectaron and Nelson combo. Resinous stonefruit and pine from the Nectaron, plus some bright floral, vinous grape, and tropical berry notes from the Nelson. What a interesting showcase of these two hops as you can appreciate both here. Hop Butcher shows off hop flavors better than anyone. Fantastic IPA.

 

@flagmantho Ha, sometimes I take a few too many sips back and forth trying to decide. But I cannot leave the audience without a winner so sides are always taken.

Yes, in Charlotte. The Mecktoberfest would be my favorite. Can't remember the name of the Pilsner, but I enjoyed that one as well. There was also a Baltic Porter, which I found a little on the sweet side.

 

Chicken tortilla soup been simmering for about 4 hours. And chicken wings about to go in the air fryer for lunch. Stone IPA while I wait on the wings
