What beer are you drinking now? #4953

I keep trying all the NA beers out there to try and reduce what I drink,
But this doesn’t do it —
A pretty bad attempt at an IPA

 

1) Phase Three Double Pixel (8.0% canned 3/10/2026): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra cryo for flavors of orange, lime, grapefruit, passionfruit.
versus
2) Imprint Brewing Sunkissed (7.2% canned 11/30/25): A NEIPA from Pennsylvania with Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson for flavors of vinous white grapes, grapefruit, berry medley, and tropical pineapple. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Phase Three versus Imprint IPA Battle. First is Phase Three Double Pixel. All Citra here. Aging a bit, but still drinking excellent. Citrus, orange, with a pithy, dry finish with notes of pine. One of my favorite all Citra IPAs. Next is Imprint Sun Kissed. Triple dry-hopped with the perfect trio. Citra, Mosaic, Nelson. Lots of hoppy notes here. Hard call and both drinking stellar. Imprint has more flavor, but doesn't have that smooth, dry, drinkability in Phase Three. Double Pixel, while simple, has a spot in my heart.
Winner: Phase Three Double Pixel

 

Coffee has held up perfectly. Maple isn't overwhelming. Bourbon notes present.

If there's another beer, it will probably be that *I've been kidnapped* beer. But I haven't been kidnapped, I just probably don't need another giant beer tonight. These have started affecting my appetite for dinner an tonight is the better half's spaghetti and the sauce has been simmering since yesterday.

 

Sierra Nevada Summerfest Lager with some leftover pizzas now. Love this beer with rich honeyed bready crackery biscuity malts, light lemony citrus and grassy noble hops. Real refreshing and tasty. Cheers all!

Helped a friend epoxy coat a pavilion today. I worked up a mean thirst

 

Love some Art Pepper. Yeah, I tried to read that but I honestly could not finish it. It was to depressing. Didn't help I had just read one of Chet Baker's biographies. Some of those dude chose a hard life.

 

Following up Boneyard RPM with another classic Northwest IPA, Georgetown Lucille. Cheers!

 

We're cheating on dinner tonight, pre-made Costco enchiladas in the oven.
Having my 2nd down-scaled Tree House beer. Little Fern is 6.2%. Silver Fern was a real WOW beer for me when I had it. This is not quite the same but still really good. Canned 4/28.

Good evening BAs! Easy enough drive, although gusty winds pushed us around today…hit the gym at lunch, then drove on. Set up camp for the evening; first beer of the day - Deschutes’ “Fresh Squeezed” IPA:



Haven’t had this beer in awhile; just as good as I remember it. We’re at the Winnebago manufacturing plant for recall work tomorrow…crossing fingers. Cool windy evening…nice sitting outside. Cheers from Forest City, IA y’all!
