Local TV station coverage re: the collaboration beer being brewed for Spokane Beer Week (May 16-23): https://www.krem.com/article/entert...week/293-041e51b0-663f-4d29-a07c-18c6263d03c0
The kickoff to Spokane Beer Week is nearly here, starting off with the annual beerfest in Riverfront Park: https://spokanecraftbeerweek.com/ I won't be attending, as I think my health has made beerfests a thing of the past for me, but I'll be attending the release of Precious Things' maibock on the same day, mainly because the deliberate release of a bunch of baby goats to celebrate it sounds fun.
The event at Precious Things has been moved to Sunday. Apparently, the organizers have concluded rain and baby goats do not mix.
As a former owner of baby goats, I can attest that the goats themselves are not deterred by rain in the slightest. Beer event attendees, on the other hand… and the smell of wet goat… It was probably the right call.
[QUOTE="sharpski, post: 8371031, member: 512999" It was probably the right call.[/QUOTE] Especially now that the predicted rain has fully materialized. Anyway, I wound up picking up 4 hrs of doubletime at work instead, and will now meet friends at Perry St for most likely an IPA.
Yesterday at Precious Things was great fun. In Bloom, their maibock, was nice and tasty. The baby goats arrived shortly afterwards.
Just submitted Palouse Brewing to be added to the database. Anybody been there yet? I would like to check them out at some point, but my gas budget is just now getting clobbered by having to head over to Olympia for a funeral tomorrow.
I seem to recall Mark M. sending me a Pic of a beer from there a number of months ago. No idea when their doors actually opened but they're not quite brand new.
