If you count samples and shot-sized pours at events and tastings and such, I'm well over 15,000. If I'm going by "real" pours, probably 1/2 that.
I’ve rated 3674 and reviewed 1000 since joining BA 12 years ago. For the 30+ years before that, I collected beer bottles - almost 4000, most all of which I drank myself. There’s overlap with BA, but probably only 50% since I lived in Texas and Colorado then and am in Vermont now.
2997 from April 2011 to today, according to my spreadsheet list. In the 35 or so years before that probably another 3 or 4 dozen (this was before I got serious about beer). Here on BA, only 72 (all reviews), but I'm working on it!
3359 reviewed here. Add in fest samples, stuff before I joined BA, plus some things that i simply drank and didnt review, Id say tack on another 1500 or so.
Probably a 2 or 3 thousand I imagine, maybe a little more. I’ve logged over 1000 being on BA just over the last 2 years. But I’ve been drinking beer for over 40 years, lol
This thread should have a poll with ranges. I’ve reviewed 1,399 unique beers on BA. Obviously I’ve tried more than that but I have no idea how many.
521 different beers according to BA logged in. That’s not much in a bit over ten years of Advocacy. And, as others I don’t review or even rate beers when I’m out. Mind you I don’t even remember in such situations how many or what I have drank. Checking out the Bank account app hurt a bit the following Monday, though.
I do a lot of beer traveling within about 3 hours drive of my house with a girlfriend who is enthusiastic about beer and sharing lots of flights with me. Not to mention picking up mix 4 and 6 packs from places to review at home. When I started doing this in 2004 there were maybe 6 breweries around Pittsburgh. Now its more like 50. Even living outside of the city there are a dozen breweries within 25 minutes of my home. Beer geekery is one of the only things in my life I have been ahead of the curve on. Cheers!
Way too many to keep track of. In the 90's heyday of microbreweries, I drank so many that there's no way I could possibly remember them all. Not even remotely close to remembering a small percentage of them, especially when traveling or the many beer festivals I've attended over the last 3 decades. Let's just say that I've had a shit-ton, possibly more.
I thinned out my bottle collection and I still have at least 6 boxes/cases of bottles and cans. They're just taking up room in the shed, but it's a nice trip down memory lane every time I dig through a box. So many great beers have come and gone over the years, but I still have (mostly)the memories.
