1) Phase Three Midair Moment (7.8% canned 3/29/26): A NEIPA from Chicago with Krush, Dolcita, Zumo for flavors of mandarin orange, pineapple, crema
versus
2) Phase Three Seven (8.0% canned 4/2/26): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Krush, Motueka, Galaxy, and oats for flavors of lemon citrus, passionfruit, zesty pineapple, lime. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Phase Three IPA Battle. First is Midair Moment. Dolcita for some creamy valencia orange and cream. Zumo and Krush give it a limeade flavor twist. Creamy and smooth. Excellent IPA.
Next is Seven, their seventh anniversary ale. Similar Krush, but the Motueka gives it a smooth tropical lime note. Both drink relatively dry as Phase Three executes well. Both are fairly similar, but this is slightly brighter and cleaner. Fantastic seventh anniversary IPA.
Winner: Phase Three Seven

Phase Three Double Pixel (8.0% canned 2/16/2026): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra cryo for flavors of orange, lime, grapefruit, passionfruit.

Continuing the Phase Three trend since I need a good IPA that I can finally taste again.Significantly better taste and smell today. I'm back on the saddle with Phase Three. Phase Three Double Pixel. One of my favorite IPAs from Phase Three which right now is probably atop my all-time NEIPA rankings. I'd take this over Juicy Bits, King Sue All Citra Everything, you name the Citra IPA. However, I kept them too close and saved my last few of these too long. Past three months. All Citra here. Still amazing depth and complexity, but in more of an undertone as you'd expect with the age. Fun that I get to compare them to the previous two IPAs. Freshness bias aside I'd rank the three as:

1. Phase Three Double Pixel
2. Phase Three Seven
3. Phase Three Midair Moment

There you have it. Be well, stay healthy, and drink only good beer.

 

I really like Tool!! My sons introduced me to there music many years ago!!
