I wish both locations served beer in glassware. I understand why they don't, but at the same time Sam Adams in Faneuil serves beer in glass on their roof deck. I wonder if Trillium's new spot will serve in glassware.
I think any of the patios will continue in plastic. Sam is essentially a fully functioning restaurant
Yeah I believe the volume is just too much, without professional machines for washing. Could even be a little of both. But I know the Pru is plastic outside as well.
For any hoppy lager fans visting soon, texture with simcoe and tangier on draft was absolutely sublime, as smooth, clean, and well-balanced a hoppy beer as I could imagine. The piney simcoe and orangey tangier played perfectly together with their lager yeast. Enjoying it in the shaded adirondack chairs at Charlton on a 75 degree afternoon probably landed it in the top five most enjoyable beers I've ever had. Unfortunately they were out of cans to go, but I took home some of the cascade and anchovy versiona and look forward to trying that one soon.
Just opened my first can of Boston Fern and wasn’t even close to filled. There was a good half inch of room at the top. Very unusual because lately I’ve noticed they have been filling cans to the absolute too
Ok now having a Hello Faneuil Hall and it’s filled to the brim. Solid offering. Nothing to write home about. A little more malty/grainy than the usual stuff. Makes it a good summer hazy that isn’t thick and hitting you over the head with hops
Doesn’t taste (or look) anything like Julius to me. King Sap is very good. Love that it’s under 8% too
I had this as a pour. Simcoe is the winner for sure. To ease your jealousy. I picked these up expecting we may be able to pop over to the beach Memorial Day weekend or even tomorrow. New England weather basically sucks now in spring and summer.
Gonna be at treehouse about a week from now. Thinking about grabbing a few hoppy lagers. Based on what they have right now I have my eye on trail waiti, texture cascade and anchovy, and el mago zumo. I don’t like when the hoppy lagers venture too far into the hazy realm, like Tasman bay for example. Trail waiti is a little hazy but still looks ok. The clarity in texture with anchovy looks awesome.
