It’s raining cats and dogs here in Billings…another C Squared IPA:



Glad to be inside! We’ve watched 4 more trailers and RVs pull into the lot…the brewery is part of Harvest Hosts and we were entry no. 3 this afternoon. Food truck pulling up…Cheers y’all!

 

I haven’t had an oyster stout in years. Hard to find.

 

I visited their location in Kyoto a few years ago. A very memorable visit in many ways. I can now get some of their beers in NYC, which pleases me.

 

Pleasantly surprised with the first of two beers shared by my brother Andrew that I wanted to try, but not enough to buy a 30 Can Brick (and drink over 30 separate days).

Full review linked above, full New Beer Weekend #306 take linked here. Bottom line, this is all apple, taffy and actual in flavor, and apple isn't my fruit go to by any means. Drinks a bit heavier than expected, with the only change a lessening of the near pop like carbonation levels, hope to run into a draft or perhaps single cans or a six pack.

 

Since I don't know if you'll be back on BA before then, I will go ahead and wish you a happy birthday now. Hope you have many more orbits around the sun - cheers!
