Revisiting this classic. I was way too low on my review years ago, will have to update! Cheers!

Hacker Pschorr is one of those favorites you just can't get enough of!

Brewed in Munich, this is one of the primary brewers for Oktoberfest. Hacker traces back to 1417 and merged with Pschorr in the 1970's. The two breweries have been intertwined with various family relationships for years, and today operate as one.

Münchner Gold is Hacker-Pschorr's 5.5% ABV malty Helles, and is currently the only style that I've been able to find imported into the US, or at least into Southern California. Send us more! Prost!

At this point, Heady and Focal show up here every other month, then stay on the shelves for 2-3 weeks. It's almost like regular distro. Not complaining, but it's curious.

At the women's Gainbridge Super League final. It's 1.50 domestic night but the West Sixth stovepipes are 4.00 and you've got to be here to tick this one.

I've got a massive fever right now. Only way to take care of it is to drink it.

I’m a sucker for “dank” branding, but always forget that what I associate with marijuana dankness is probably lightyears away from the kids’ fruit-infused vape pens these days. Was not expecting a melon platter.

At O'Hare back in the '70's there was a food stand that featured Sheboygan brats on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Many a road trip I finagled to get me thru there on those magic days. Gone are the brats of yesteryear.

This didn’t “pop” as much as I’ve come to expect from Hop Butcher, but it’s still worthy of your consideration, IMHO.

Agharta...the legendary, mythical kingdom rumored to exist in the Earth's core, where artistic freedom opens up a spiritual and Utopian civilization. Yep, that is what Miles Davis' live album Agharta is. This is on another playing level IMO. One of two concerts he gave in one day in Japan. Then retired for 7 years, finally coming back in the 80's. But after this, he said f all you guys, I'm going home and you ain't going to see me for a long time ha.

Real Ale Sisyphus Barleywine in the glass. I can't remember the last time I bought a bomber, but hey this one is awesome. A 2024 bottle.

Haven't tried this beer since 2017, but it still tastes exactly how I remember it. Pineapple, grapefruit and graham cracker notes, all in perfect harmony. Long, dry lightly bitter finish keeps you coming back for more. I could drink a ton of these.

If you're looking for bargains in the protein section of your market head to the pork (if you eat it). Best bang for the buck right now. Picked up 2 racks of backribs - Prime, Duroc for 4.89/#. Great deal. Prob go back and get more and freeze them. Got em rubbed down and ready for smokin tomorrow[IMG]

...I had never heard of Ukrainian composer Alexander Litvinolvsky until a couple of weeks ago when I heard a piece from his composition 'Le Grand Cahier'...it is based on the book 'Le Grand Cahier' (the Notebook), a story written by a Hungarian author I have never heard of named Ágota Kristóf...so, since I like the music so well, thought I'd get a trilogy of her books based on the two central characters...
