Days like this it can be hard to decide whether to break out the Beermeister32 Chugmaster 500, the 750, or the almighty Chugmaster 1000 Bierglas. I say the 1000!

But what to put into it, hmmm…. Rummaging through the expansive and temperature-controlled Beermeister32 Bierhoard, I found this tasty IPA, Sierra Nevada Atomic Torpedo, clocking in with a Nuclear load of 9.2% ABV. I’ll figure the kiloton payload later!

Wimping down today’s drink is another trustworthy regular around here, Budweiser Zero. Let’s see, punching values into the Beermeister32 Blender Calculator, we have 19.2 ounces at 9.2% ABV together with 12 ounces at 0% ABV, making this a total of 31.2 ounces at 5.6% ABV. A thrifty way of DOUBLING your IPA supply! It’s like drinking THREE BEERS! Cheapskates CHUG!!!!

Ha...OK, now that you got me going here is some more info...

This is the original pressing for Miles Ahead from 1957. The Columbia records icons on the edge are now known as "eyes" so this is the 6 Eye Mono version. My Sketches of Spain only has 2 of these, which is when they changed over to stereo in the mid 60's. In the 70's, they removed the eyes all together...so that is how you know basically right off the bat which version you have,

I also have the original original version with the lady on the boat. Miles hated this, and Columbia created the cover without his knowing. He famously said "why did you put that white bitch on my album cover." Only a couple of thousand of these were released, when Miles made them change it to just his ugly mug on the cover ha. So not impossible to find, but fairly rare.



Now, that is probably a negative something or other so I don't know where I stand ha...but Kind of Blue is coming up next for my closer

This one is a "collaboration" between the two brands made there: Magnify and 2nd Favor (a project of Magnify's Fairfield Head Brewer). Citra and Simcoe. Fruity, clean, and not a bit of burn. Very good, I gave it a 4, drank the 6pk over 3 months and enjoyed the heck out of it. The coffee doesn't stand out ina good or bad way but is a nice part of the beer. I'll buy another 6pk next spring.

 

An excellent hazy here from Alvardo Street . CO 04/15 . Sauce with meats (sweet ,hot sausage pork tips ground pork/hamburger meatballs ) has been simmering all day.
