    Now you have me curious - although.....the America's Cup has large sailboats that race, not racing shells....do you have a photo? Racing shells are narrow (af) long and lean....an America's Cup racing sailboat could be one of several large sailboat classes that were used over the years...i.e. Dennis Conner sailed a 12 meter one that looked like this.....(among others in his long sailing career)
