    $22.50 for a 12oz 6er of 5.1% lager is a big ask.

This was the main reason I didn’t grab it. Getting a lager pour at the source is sublime, though

Doesn’t bother me really. NZ hops’ll cost ya. I never understood why a beer being lower abv or being a lager doesn’t justify a certain price point. Just me tho.

    Stopped at Charlton yesterday.

A young lady had a dog that was constantly loudly barking, that was annoying. Disappointed that the staff didn't politely ask her to leave. Especially considering it could have attacked one of the several other, more well behaved dogs there. (I love dogs FWIW)

Moving along, plenty of adjunct stouts available at the bar, maple, coconut, marshmallow, etc. It would have been cool to have 1 or 2 more without adjuncts. Though, I will admit Human Condition Marshmallow, tastes very good.

Lets do A couple more positive comments: While it was very crowded on a Saturday, the cans go-to line was short. A lot of people were just hanging out for on-site consumption. It was refreshing to waste very time, waiting in a line.

And those Koi fish are very cool. Early afternoon yesterday, the weather was crappy, so I didn't drink outside. But, as I was exiting, I did marvel at those beautiful fish.

I still need to visit the Woodstock location. Which oddly enough is the same drive time for me, ad going to Charlton. Anyone that has been to their Woodstock location, please provide some thoughts on your experience there.

Woodstock is surprisingly close to Charlton. I think it’s definitely worth a stop. Especially since they brew everything there in small batch. I went when it was snowing and it was very low key. Indoor seating was nice. It gives a much smaller rural brewery vibe which I love. I imagine going in the summer would be doubly enjoyable.

Woodstock is super chill, esp on a nice sunny, breezy, day. Sitting on the hill overlooking the pond is a happy place. Lots of the famous TH Adirondack chairs all around and a few clusters of picnic tables to eat at. They sell some good local cheese and meats but otherwise, BYOF. (There's a place right at the junction of 169 and Joy Rd that has decent pizza/burgers/sandwiches). TH is set way back off the road, over a hill, so it's dead quiet. No traffic noise aside from the occasional farm equipment. All the flowers are starting to come into bloom and will continue on into the fall. Later in the season there are heirloom tomatoes and pumpkins everywhere. It's picturesque.

The selection is limited to about 10 taps plus a cider. To go offerings are about the same in number. They often have additional can pours of beer that isnt already on tap.

There are a couple trails (I think) but at the very least, you can walk the orchards and see all the various fruits and berries they planted when they first bought the farm.

This. My wife hates beer and hates going to breweries. Ok fine. She loves Woodstock on an autumn or summer day. We’ve had interesting convos with people around the fire pit.

There must be a reason. Go to any beer store and lagers will be significantly cheaper than basically any other style

Had the chance to swing by Faneuil Hall today given we had to be in MA. Weather was pretty good until we were heading out. I grabbed a pour of Boston Fern and thought it ripped. Since our umbrella high top was next to the back TH exit and also next to the Fanueil food court entrance. I walked the maybe 300 steps to Regina and got a slice for each of us. For the nostalgia of it. I ain’t above that shit. Felt like 1991 on a school trip again. Seriously though, you walk through the door into Regina ha

are woodstock beers noticeably different? Went to TH Pru a few weeks ago, and nothing really had that characteristic yeast bubblegum thing going on.

The bubblegum is a myth. All in your head.

That being said, supposedly the beers are brewed in Woodstock, so they might be different. I've had Julius from there and thought it tasted how it always has

Not a myth if you've been drinking Tree House since Brimfield.

Just because they dropped Tornado pale and posted about the actual Tornado today, 15 years ago. Does anyone remember the view of the clear cut trees and land from the Tornado when you drove out to brimfield or Monson around that time? Depending on the direction you took from home. I remember being shocked at how much destruction it did. Just to the land. Let alone structural.

Can any locals chime in if that’s all grown back now? I 100% remember this was the image on the news we all stared at(Springfield)

Tree House posted a little video summary of the two Boston locations.

Faneuil Hall starts around 2:45, and Nate is only committing to it being open Summer 2026. "Summer months, 2026. No saying if it will last beyond that."

Agreed, and I actually remember way back at Monson time you could go a good stretch without cans. I grabbed some Green, opened a can and remember being a little dismayed at the “bubble gum flavor” on that can. I think we were all stil getting used to it. But quickly it was all you wanted and chased. For lack of a better term. I still find it in certain beers. Curiosity often has it in those. A few of the one off series releases has recently.

Because of the smaller vessels, I find the yeast pops a little more with the beers in Woodstock. Downside is drinking different IPAs back to back, the yeast dominates so its a little harder to notice differences in the beer.

Wow, this is amazing, thanks for sharing.

I was lucky enough to make it to Monson but never Brimfield. I also didn't know they had ever been on tap at Armsby.

Yeah it’s was very very brief out in the wild. But it was. Maybe one other spot besides those two.

Brimfield was cool. But I sat there for hours waiting for a few growlers. Played a shit ton of cards against humanity with some people. I believe I got curiosity 5 there.

I think Curiosity 5 must've been (one of, if not) the last beer at Brimfield. My first time going to TH was the first weekend serving in Monson and I remember Dean saying Curiosity 5 would kick somewhere in the orders already placed so if you put it on your order slip, pick a back up. I didn't get any.

there was definitely a bubble gum thing back then
