Deleted instagram about 2 months ago , kinda around same time i stopped coming on here , and i have 0 plans of returning. The ads became mentally exhausting .

 

Mostly Bluesky, Homebrewtalk, FB but much less than before. I love to visit Threads daily for the laughs, there are some seriously odd "people" on there though I suspect most are bots. I visit BA several times a day but mostly just lurk.

 

Instagram and Bluesky for a couple of personal projects, LinkedIn for the professional stuff, and here for the good things.

 

I like Instagram strictly for news on breweries, electronic music, film stuff, and history. And of course when boredom hits I scroll some. Recently came across a post of a guy who is a soda addict. Now that was some wild shit. I liked Twitter for sports and credible news, but after the takeover and turning into X, it’s just a complete mess. So I rarely use it anymore. BA is and will always be number one for the Raul man. Now if only someone could help me tick a beer from Alabama and Mississippi, I’d almost have all 50 states plus DC.

 

I'd say Instagram but only really use it for keeping up to date with breweries and such.

I do use Reddit quite a bit, not sure if that's classed as SM?

 

Apparently I have an Instagram account, I don't ever remember setting it up. I use FB for sending political memes to piss off a certain group of people, but really it's to use Messenger to phone back and forth across the ocean-our families on both sides use Messenger for the free phone calls.
Speaking of ads, in France I get tons of ads here on BA. I don't remember that being a problem in the US. Shanex, do you get the ads?

 

I created an Instagram account back when you could use it to embed images on BA.

Now I mostly just use it to try and get @Shanex to join my OnlyFans to finance my beer habit

 

Discord. I'd never heard of it until BA created a server - when BA left, I stayed, and now I'm way too involved with more than a dozen music and video-gaming servers. Cheers!

 

I lurk on facebook just to keep up with family and I post occasionally on instagram but social media, other than BA has jumped the shark for me

 

I mostly use reddit, because it is possible to have discussions there. I still cruise by Facebook and X everyday but my usage is dropping due to lack of relevance. I post my own content on Instagram but I don't follow much there. I couldn't get mastodon to work. Bluesky is like x without the assholes.

 

Just BA for me. I never understood the appeal of the other sites you listed. I’m probably one of the few people in my age group (I’m 44) who has never been on any of those platforms. They seem like they’re designed to make people homicidal and/or suicidal. I’m all set.

 

Facebook despite all the garbage and political bs. I just ignore or block a lot of people/bots

 

I'm in the "BA Only" camp. And Untappd, because badges. (Cue "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" misquote in 3...2...1...) I have a nextdoor account, which I occasionally use to bitch about road construction and snowmobiles on the bike trails. That is all.

 

BA, I guess it’s social media. Never had any other type of account. I don’t watch TV either so I avoid a lot of shit. Probably spend too much time here and need to change that too.

BeerAdvocate only. My dog, Moe, has a Facebook page. My Dad and Sister created it without my knowing at first, when my Sister had her first kid. Though they both have left Facebook since, Moe is still there, I think ha, but I never check it.

 

I only read BA as I find it informative and interesting. The other stuff I feel is stealing my time. The same reason I rarely watch television. To me my life and days are like a deck of cards. As I go through my day every so often a card comes off the top of the deck and is gone. At the end of the day the deck is finished. When I wake up the next day I get a new deck and it starts over. I choose not to waste my cards/life/time staring at screens or watching advertisements. May sound wierd buts that's how it is for me.
