Spend 4 minutes listening to this acoustic version from my dear friends band, Bronze Radio Return. You may recognize the chorus, it was "borrowed" by Phil Philips for his hit single "Home"2 years after this song was written.

Townes is the best Van Zandt, no question.

    Cool tune!

First time hearing any Townes van Zandt or just that song? He is one of the greatest song writers to ever live, yet other people made his writing famous. You should also check out his good friend, who was equally talented, Blaze Foley.

To you and 4balance, yes. I can't get enough of Van Zandt. Might put on my original EMI record Our Mother the Mountain.

First time hearing anything from him. I have to say that is one of the things I really enjoy about LNBA is hearing music I've never experienced. Amazing how many talented bands there are. I'm a metal head but I do appreciate all genres with an open mind, (just like beer!) thanks again for sharing and opening my mind to some really cool jams. Cheers ~

I respect Mile's fusion period. Live Evil and On the Corner are my favorites from his post Quintet days. Though, as much as I try, I can't get into In a Silent Way, Bitches Brew, or many of the others like Jack Johnson. I don't know, I am weird like that:grinning: Cheers to Bells and Founders.
