questions to specs workers.

    Specs is open everyday but Sunday, I hear they like it when people stop by the store.

    wait? so you mean to tell me if i go to a specs store anyone can answer my question???? have you guys heard of google? i heard if i type something into it, it can find me info on whati am looking for but i havent tried it yet. but i did hear if you type google into google it breaks the internet! so DO NOT TRY IT.

    Whaaa...? Dude if you just asked your questions I'm sure the know-it-alls (including me) in this forum could probably answer them for you. There's a lot of beer knowledge and people in the industry in general that will see your post and probably help you out. Trying to lure a Specs employee out of the lurking darkness of these forums might be kind of difficult....

    There used to be a Spec's guy. He was scared away into hiding sometime around the last (512) WBADPP release, iirc.

    fine. i'll ask.

    my store was bought out by specs. the discount we used to have sucked. it didnot apply to beer. i heard the since im now under the spcs umbrella i can receive the specs discount. and im wanting to know how that works for someone to get it. also, what does the discount actually grant me.

    Think the discount is 10-15% off any purchase at Specs. I used to frequent a Specs 5 or 6 times a week (worked next door) and certain employees may or may not have given me the employee discount. Pretty sure that discount is valid at any Specs as long as you can prove your employment. But I have to ask...what do you mean by bought out? Does that mean they are converting it to a Specs?

    There used to be an awesome specs near my house that WAS open on Sunday because the beer/ wine part was separated from the liquor part. Then it closed.

    5-10% discount on non credit card purchases (applies to almost? everything, including beer). There are also Spec's Key discounts you can find here: http://www.specsonline.com/cgi-bin/showpage?pageid=specskey, but I don't know if it lists any beer. If there are more frequent shopper discounts, I'd like to know, since I buy lots of beer there.

    I used to work at Specs and there is no employee discount. Employees only paid case price, which wasn't a steal unless you were buying a lot or an expensive bottle. There weren't really any employee perks as far as beer/alcohol - but the dinners I got to go to were awesome.
