    I'm in a bit of a bad beer mood. To clarify, I'm not in the mood for bad beer. It's looking like I'm not going to find any Hopslam for the second year in a row. Every case/sixer of Flower Power I find is notched best by January. Even though I'm in Pennsylvania, I'm having the feeling like I won't see fresh Nugget Nectar unless I drive almost an hour downtown.

    Didn't feel like driving far today, so I went to the local beer dist. Again, I'm in PA, so that means I have to buy a case. So I looked for variety packs. Looked for some kind of date on this Voodoo case. Couldn't find one. Tickers gotta tick, right? Anyway, found a faded stamp on the bottom of the box when I got home. 5/11/12. Yay for 8 month old beers.

    The taste in these beers now isn't TOO bad...but the smell...they all have a green olive type smell, which I hate.

    Fuck Pennsylvania and it's shitty case laws, Fuck western PA beer drinkers who think Yuengling is top notch stuff. Fuck man.

    I'll be okay. Supposedly Nugget Nectar hit this area Monday. If I don't find it by next Friday I'm setting fire to everything.

    /rant.

    Wolavers Oatmeal Stout. Between this and their coffee porter, I find it mind boggling how people don't fall over their pants over this stuff. So perfect. Beats the pants off of Samuel Smith's.

    Amongst a sea of DIPAs and RIS this Sunday during a tasting/share, we had Pilzilla. That beer was perfect for the middle of everything. Refreshing, easy to drink, just different from the complexity we had been drinking all day and we all enjoyed it! (BTW I found the same old flower power, was pissed when I got home and saw the freshness date but it was still tasy, WAY better than I thought it would be!)

    I don't know about others, but I come here to share what I'm drinking with other good friends, while watching what they're listening to. It's usually some damn good music! :stuck_out_tongue: My mind is made up on that one...

    Got it filled on Thur and was worried about how long it would last. Opened it today and it was still just as good as it was at the brewery; also, poured a glass for my parents as well
