Random question, have you ever made Graf, and if so, did you send a couple bottles to the dudes that do brewing tv?

Looked at the Facebook for a bottle shop about 25 mins away that I had never been to because I know they price gouge on bottles pretty hard, but I noticed they had Hopslam on tap. Never had truly fresh Slam, let alone on tap. It was glorious. Had it side by side with my favorite beer, Flower Power. Either their FP was old/bad (likely) or HopSlam made FP taste like cheap vodka (doubtful).

Anyway, I grabbed 3 bottles of HopSlam and two bottles of Nugget Nectar, each bottled one week ago. Pretty psyched, considering Nugget Nectar isn't even officially released in this area yet, and I've yet to find a sixer or case of HopSlam. Also grabbed a bottle of Green Flash Palette Wrecker. Paid too much, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy.

Have you tried the Sam Adams Double Agent IPL? If you like hops the IPL blows Whitewater and Latitude out of the water (IMO). 'Not sure what the availability is on this beer, I haven't really seen it around, though.

No wonder it sounded familiar, it's in the spring pack that's out now. I really wanted to try the Irish Red and MP Porter. I already had Alpine Spring on draft, and I had little interest in White Lantern. So your DA IPL recommendation, plus the fact that Giant Eagle didn't have anything else really enticing, lead me to buying the 12 pack.

My nose is confused. My palette and brain are confused. I'm pretty sure I like this, but I wouldn't buy it again. I wish I could give a better explanation/review, but I'm having a hard time explaining this. It kind of smells and tastes...muddy? I don't know. I just don't think IPL is a style that was meant to be. This definitely wasn't nearly as good as Whitewater. I don't hold any ill will, though, my PA brother, I wanted Irish Red and MP Porter anyway.

Starting with this one while the wife's out getting inked. When she gets home we'll share some New Holland Dragon's Milk. Gotta say it feels a little odd drinking a wheat beer in the middle of winter. But delicious nonetheless.
