So, I know they exist, but I was wondering if any of you participate in tasting groups that don't focus on whales. Just would like to find a cool group of guys to share different beers, including the occasional rarity. I don't have a cellar so I can't compete with the guys bringing BA Dark Lords and whatnot. Thanks guys, and feel free to send me a message.

yep, just go. Beer people love people who love beer.

Funny that if you look at the term whale it is around northern tribes who are very communal in how they live. Getting a whale is somthing that benefits everyone in the community and beer is no different. The best thing about getting a whale for the person that lands it is sharing it and having everyone say thanks and seeing them smile while they enjoy it. Go and enjoy. Very few folks have expectations...

They're called people at bars. Talk to them.

Yeah, I've been apart of groups in the past and am familiar, just wondering if there were any groups in the area interested in newcomers.

Thanks for the help, take care.
