Chicago Weekend...

    So my wife, myself and two friends of ours will be staying in Chicago this Friday and Saturday night. Got a few ideas of where to drink...but what is the must go to bars? Were staying next to The House of Blues Friday night, and somewhere in Wrigleyville Saturday night.

    plane lands, straight to HAlf Acre taproom at noon and order Bad Apple food for pickup, Maproom at 3, local option at 5, Beer Temple at 7:30 and Buy Pipeworks, Spiteful, Begyle, 18th st, Deschutes etc.., Kumas Corner at 8 for amazing burger, go to bed early.....wake up... Revolution Brewery for lunch and beers at 11am, down to HayMarket at 2, over to Goose Island Brewery by 5, Lou Malnati's Pizza for dinner at 8, Drinks at Fountianhead at 10 , go to sleep, wake up and fly away

    nice, except kumas at 8 is gonna be a two hour wait so be sure to eat a snack at local option. also, both brews by begyle i've had weren't good. i'll wait to let them iron out their kinks before i buy some of their stuff again.

    Do all of this, but skip Malnati's and eat at Fountainhead. They have some really great chow.

    For the out-of-towner Malnati's should be tried... for homers here who get it for takeout on Tuesdays, yeah, straight to Fountainhead.

    Too much sleep in this!

    Hot Dougs for lunch is another good spot just get there early and make sure they are open.

    I do love Hot Doug's, but IMO it's not worth their insane Friday/Saturday wait, especially if you're trying to cram in as much quality beer time as possible. That being said, it does make a great Wednesday or Thursday late afternoon stop before the Revolution taproom.
