Definition of a True BA

    During a recent tasting a buddy of mine broke my only Westvleteren 12. I was saving it for my Wedding in May. Digita7693 heard about the incident and asked for my address. A couple of weeks ago I received this in the mail!

    My fiance and I are very grateful for his generousity! We are using the glasses as are wedding glasses too. Just wanted to say thank you again for this great gift. You my friend are the true definition of a BA in my book. Cheers to Digita7693!

    What a great gesture from what I assume a great guy. I think the glasses are amazing, seeing as he gave both from his brick!

    I was in awe when I opened the box. I was so thrilled that he would send a bottle of Westvleteren 12! Let alone the two glasses. I'm still amazed by the generousity. Great guy!

    A great BA to me, is a Cali BA (Rzzzz) that loses a football bet (which was a bomber of beer) and he sends ya almost a dozen of the finest IPAs that California has to offer. That, my friends, goes above and beyond.

    Or, let's say a guy WINS a football bet and sends a handful of Oklahoma's finest to the loser. That's a great BA.

    I think we both have to bow to Digita7693 in this case, though.

    Funny thing story about Westy. I got to try it once, my friend had some and he spilt a bottle with me. He spilled his by accident. However, him and I had been at the Bronx Alehouse before that, and then we got to his place and split a 750 of Allagash Curiex. By the time the Westy was cracked I was so drunk that I couldn't even finish the glass and I gave the rest to him. The one time I get to try that beer and probably the only time for a long time, it would have been nice if I wasn't destroyed. :angry:

    I have met very many generous and great BAs on this site so far. One day when the cash starts coming my way and life stops punching me in the face repeatedly I will return favors and help others in need.
