Gosh darn it, you are entitled to as much as you want.

    Just my 2 cents.

I was curious if anyone else felt the same way. I was truly just looking for perspective. I have gotten that. Thanks for your thoughts and input.

This post is inevitable for any limited run beer.

I am sure that there is someone else out there seething because their favorite shop had a two-bottle limit & because of that, they didn't get a single bottle, & they're pissed because "Why the hell would you allow people to buy two bottles when they knew the demand? It should have been one!"

Really, retailers can't win at this game, they're going to annoy someone.

I think they should start doing 1/2 bottle limits. This would really help spread the kbs.

I rather have one bottle than none. There is also trading that you can partake in, in order to gain some bottles that you could not buy.

Let me stress it again as others have said, be happy you got a bottle than none at all.

KBS is one of those beers I can do without, along with many others which were once common in this market. I am more excited about the Steel Toe BA Barleywine. Lets enjoy that until it becomes too popular to buy without standing in line for hours, following the deliverly truck or scouring dozens of stores.

Founders, like many other breweries "markets" in four packs with a sku on the bottom and a different sku on the bottle so stores can sell singles. I think they are all about the breaking up of four/six packs.

I think you and the OP are barking up the wrong tree. It's Founders you should be displeased with for exapnding into new markets before expanding their brewering thereby reducing qantities into their existing markets. They should have expanded the brewery first and then expanded their markets.

I think folks that are all worked up about this need to realize at the end of the day, it's still just beer. It sucks if you can't get it, but it's not a breweries responsibility to make sure there is enough for everyone to be fully satisfied. They project a year ahead of time on production and cannot fully estimate how much people may want. As much as I wish they made more KBS, how many people would be talking about it in such a revered sense if it was no problem to go pick up a 4-pack or two at your local store? The scarcity matters in the case of these beers. Is it a pain in the ass? Yes. But again, if it is so upsetting, don't be one of those guys chasing Founders trucks all day. There are plenty of available imperial stouts that are phenomenal and easily available. I agree that you shouldn't have to drive around all day to grab the ONE bottle many stores allotted. But at the end of the day, that's someone's choice.

Again, it's beer. Not nuclear armaments. I feel people's pain but I think this needs to be looked at a little less seriously. Let's all relax and have a beer, eh?

Either way, whether or not you agree, cheers to everyone on Friday!
