So I see a bunch of ISO:FT posts for BA Kopi, but I was curious to see what it is actually trading for. I wanted to know if it's either going to be worth my time, or if I'll be held ransom by the west coasters

Nobody has tried the beer yet, so people with a brain are probably going to try it before deciding to trade it away for shelfwaleticks.

Almost all of the BA Kopi threads are from people offering, not looking. What are trying to say about Cali, bruh?!

The beer hasn't been released and nobody has yet tried it. The beer is around $30 a bottle for a Barrel Aged Coffee Stout. What's it worth to you, twenty twelver?

Brace yourselves, everyone. Being a resident of Southern California, I can tell you that there are in fact dumb people here.

I don't believe it. These two guys from San Dimas taught me damn near everything I know.

Well being that I know nothing since I'm from 2012 - I'd say it's probably worth some six month old Pliny and a few bottles of Supplication (aged in pinot noir barrels).

Why don't you just reply to the guys who are offering it?

Can you get ahold of $32.04 worth of limited and similar bottle count beer? That's about what it's worth.

Because it is easier to come here, get some rabble rabble about how people just bought it online and push the value down to a reasonable Imperial Stout Trooper level, not this brewery only releases with similar cost and bottle count shit.

There has to be at least 12,000 bottles and distribution to Kentucky for a bottle to be .rar. It also must have sat on shelves for months while people didn't know it was SO RARE.

    From a friend:

"So I emailed the Ryan Bros asking about buying some coffee -- namely the blends that compromised the regular Speedway, the Kopi & the Vietnamese -- figuring it might be fun to try the coffee, see how strong the influence was. Of course I got a rambling non-specific reply, but he did say one thing that might be of interest to you trading types -- the Kopi was a special roast and a 'one-off'."

It is now worth at least 2 KH's. IT WILL NEVER BE MADE AGAIN. Never made again bro, do you hear me? Again. Never. Certified Midwest wale now.

That rule only applies if it was in a Pappy Van Winkle barrel.

It's actually a conspiracy to prevent the west coast from getting .rar wales. A BA stout or barleywine can only be a Certified Midwest Wale (CMW) if it was aged in PvW 20 or 23 barrels. Distribution of CMWs to Kentucky only happens as an agreement to insure the midwest gets all the PvW 20/23 barrels and hence can monopolize the production of CMWs. Maybe something for the antitrust division at the US Department of Justice to look into...
