As we leaked Sunday at the Pappy's Dark release, we're putting together an awesome Vermont draft event @ the Hop & Vine PDX in late March. There aren't many details to reveal yet as far as the specific beers, but it'll be a really special all-VT tap takeover with beers from Hill Farmstead, Lawson's Finest Liquids, Bobcat, Zero Gravity, and Trapp Family Lodge. Looking like March 31st right now, so pencil in your calendars!

Stoked about this! I kinda like the idea of it being on Easter. As a bonus, I'll be getting back from a week and a half of climbing the day before, which for me means no drinking.

Awesome. As a former New Englander, I'd like to point out that Bobcat Brewery is seriously underrated.

The real challenge will be keeping the prices reasonable considering how much a glass of those beers go for on the East Coast.

PS if it means less crowd, I vote for Easter

Pai Mei has no god. I'll be there. Unless the Hill Farmstead beer is CD4 and the Lawson's beer is Jade IPA.

Then I will not be there.

Haha didn't realize it was Easter. Might still be on Easter, though! A good thing to break lent on, wethinks.

Even if you have it on Easter, the crowd you got for Zwanze Day will seem tiny in comparison. Not everyone is into wilds/sours, but when people in Portland (or anywhere in the NW for that matter) find out you're going to have Hill Farmstead & Lawson's IPAs on tap...

Considering this isn't one of these events where you are going to have any trouble whatsoever getting a line out the door, my suggestion: do it on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday when you open at 3p.

I think it's going to be absolute madness. I've had the pleasure of drinking a lot of VT beer in my life, and I still would stand in line for hours for some Lawson's/HF in PDX. Add some cans of Heady Topper? I'm bringing my tent.

Has anyone heard anything new about this? Is it still going to happen? Thanks!

Says "late march - early April" on a chalkboard at H&V as of last week.

Still happening! Looking like a two-day event the first week of April. Hoping to have solid date in the next day or two and pricing/ticket structure to follow.

Since December I've seen Three Penny, Prohibition Pig, and Blackback all put up OR beers, and quite a large variety of them, with little to no fanfare. Will the VT beers be shared with some other bars in Portland? And could we start seeing them pop up on tap lists like "normal" beers that are regularly distributed here? It seems either we have sent multiple shipments to VT, or we sent considerably more variety to VT, unless Hop and Vine is receiving equal variety, but just putting it all on at once at Hop and Vine only.

    What's going on here?
