Has anyone else just been unable to decide what to trade for? I have a lot of Jester King sours, but I have no clue what I'd trade them for.

I am in the same boat. I was just thinking of a list of about 12 beers in my cellar that I wouldn't mind trading. I just don't know what to ask for :slight_frown: There are so many beers available it is a challenge to know what I would want. Perhaps if I just stuck with a certain brewery or style that would help.

I have traders block as my "give a shits" are near zero. I will send my regulars stuff but the only ISO's I have put up recently are for Horse Piss Beer and BCBVS.

I honestly wait for an ISO for something I've got and, as long as we're in the same ballpark will ask for local recommendations as well as a few mainstays I can't get in TX (FFF, BCBCS, etc...)

You know it's not mandatory to trade, right?

Trade them for other peoples local sours if you are into them. That is what I do with Cisco sours.

I'm slowing down now and may pick up before beach week to get some great IPA's, other than that I can get most styles here I like without the expense. I can just as easily order Furious on line and be done with it as well, but I always want some HT for beach week.

We spend outrageous amounts of money on trading. You should look at this as an opportunity for fiscal sanity. Sock the money you'd otherwise be spending on trading into a retirement account. It would be pretty funny for a typical BA to call up Suze Orman and tell her about our spending habits. Her shock and dismay would be a sight to behold.

Have you tried opening a bottle?

Once you open the bottle the trade value plummets! Why would we open bottles?

Of course. I'd never trade something I haven't had before.

NO! Must trade. It says so in the BA contract :-)

Not if you refill, recap, wrap the reapplied cap in tap, and wax the bottle.

Advice: Try using an on-line beer shop in a different part of the country. Then when the box lands on your porch, pretend they are all extras.

Except that, by law, almost no online beer companies can ship to TX. :slight_frown:

In my experience, surprise boxes often turn out to be the best boxes.
