Are these just getting impossible to trade for? Is there any chance of doing something like a volume of multiple Fou Foune, LP Gueuze, LP Kriek, St. Lam, etc? I've posted huge lists of what I thought were beers that would intrigue someone and offered multiples and got crickets? Is the only hope trading beers rated higher on the WW list at this point? Any advice would be appreciated.

It's impossible to trade for these beers. It cannot be done.

That wasn't what I was hoping to hear.

In the DDG thread a guy traded a Rare for a DDG 1:1. I tried, and failed miserably.
It was expected, but still disappointing.

Yeah, I saw that ISO. My problem may be the same. I've got tons of stouts but mostly just Cantillon sours.

My advice would be to wait for one of "those guys" that everyone on BA dislikes to post an ISO for one of those beers. Then follow up by immediately posting the EXACT same offer, with like 5 words changed. People would think it was hilarious and trade with you just to spite them and watch the anguish when you proudly posted "This is done".

Oh, and then send me a little 2oz Walmart travel bottle of whatever you receive for the advice.

At one point last year I had three of each and traded a couple overseas for a multi trade for a couple Blabaer and other goodies. The other Izzy i traded for Crianza Helena and i can't recall what the other DDG went for. I thought this past summer there were a bunch traders putting up DDG and Izzy but maybe my memory is fading. Seems to me most are going for lateral trades or up the ladder.

No, I think that's correct. Those posts seemed to have dried up unfortunately.

Isn't DDG supposed to be released every three years? Shouldn't it be out very soon?

People have been saying that for a while, so I hope that will make it easier to trade for when it does. IP is actually my main target, but would love to get either.

Don't you guys have a whale tasting with DDG coming up? That label is so damn cool, it's the only reason I kept the bottle haha.

Yep, it's supposed to be coming this year according to a video on Lost Abbey's Youtube channel.

It was released once, in 2009, and Tomme says there will be another batch this year, supposedly in the fall.

Yeah, but they won't let me keep the bottle...

I got a DDG for a Grey Monday+, but I run a shithole website so maybe that helped/hurt

talked to Sage at Lost Abbey 18 months ago and he said Duck Duck "didnt take" (insert clever carbonation joke) and that it would be delayed until "at least July 2013 if all goes well"

On a side note, I shopped around a DDG once to try and flip it into an Izzy because I have never tasted that juice, it was a universal heisman, like hollering at FIDM chicks in the club. Those two appear to not exist in parity with one another.

On a final note, I did a trade with a DDG+ for a 1996 Alexander Rodenbach (small penis format, so essentially a 3:1 trade on the old OZ front) if you can land an Alexander, you might be able to reverse engineer that trade.

How many bottles of Fou'foune would be in a volume?

How many do you want? It's just a Belgian shelf whale. I could spare some. Especially for IP.

I think these beers are just past the point where you can "trade up" with volume. If an Izzy/DDG owner wanted to do that kind of deal, they would have done it by now. Now you're really just talking equivalent whales...

I just recently traded an Izzy for quantity of less rare things(couple bottles of a few year old lambics). I think if i was to trade another one it would have to be an overwhelming offer of quantity since ive had a few people attempt to shower me with fou foune and such but its hard to trade down the ladder when Id much rather get a one off loon/3f or old vintage lambic.
My thought is why trade Izzy for fou foune or other loons when i could trade other less rare things for them or order online.

That's actually what is so confusing to me about these bottles. They don't really trade for one offs do they? Maybe I am wrong on these and they do? If that's the case I'm probably not getting them anytime soon.
