Pretty awesome, just saw this on their facebook page. Apparently we can plan on seeing Jackie O's cans around September, even here in Columbus! Not sure how far the distribution will be, but either way this is good news! Just thought everyone should know...

Any mention of what beers will be apart of the canning and distro?

I don't think distribution is going to be north of Columbus for " a while". That's in quotes because it came from Brad a couple weeks ago.

We plan on rolling out Chomolungma (honey nut brown), Mystic Mama IPA, and Firefly Amber in 12oz 6 packs. That will be the initial push. The draft options will be more extensive.

Not bad. Surprised no Razz Wheat, since that seems to be your best seller.

Razz wheat will not go into full distro, it will be taproom/brewpub only. We don't want to be brewing Razz Wheat anymore than we have to. It may show up on draft outside of Athens periodically, but it will see limited production.

Does it require a lot more work than the other brews?

It is just so popular at our brewpub that we have made the decision to not put into full production. We want to have an extensive portfolio and felt that Razz Wheat would consume the majority of our brewery if we unleashed it to the state and beyond.

Happy to here about this...figuring I couldn't make it down to the release party due to a family issue. Can't wait to try your brews!

You do have the best Razz wheat in recent memory. If manufactured at full scale, it could consume the whole barn. I can just hear it now, "Well, I quit my job at the coal mine to go work for Brad at the Razz Wheat Factory."

Every morning at sunrise, a brewery-owned transport bus would come bursting through the fog, covered with Raspberry-stained assistant brewers, all clamoring for a secure handhold, like a Bangladesh train. THAT'S how fine beer is born.
