    Good Monday advocates!

Starting off the week with Trappistes Rochefort 10. Could’ve been worse to kick off the day.

    Cheers!

Very random; I grew up watching this, along many other series like that from way back:

Good morning @Todd and @Shanex! and to everyone around the globe, wishing you a happy week!

    Meanwhile, Foster's Premium Ale
Lively with carbonation, a light body, and spritzy on the tongue. Pleasant aroma of malt with a musty, earthy nose. While there doesn't seem to be any actual hop flavor, there is some stemmy bitterness in the aftertaste. This manages to be quite drinkable, whatever it is. The label notes this is brewed by Oil Can Breweries in Fort Worth, Texas, A.K.A. Molson Coors if that is the current name of the conglomerate that owns that particular brewery.

Have a good Monday. Been up since 10 PM watching youtube. Found a new favorite series with Rick Beatos "What makes this song great" which is where he gets the song with the tracks split up by instrument in pro tools, and then shows you the nuances you never heard before. Also uses the L/R panning feature in pro tools which was mind blowing with Stairway to Heaven. Really great insight into the music and production, I have been getting more into playing lately even with 131 books this year. Need to watch his channel more often.

Finished Knowing What We Know by Simon Winchester in the morning yesterday: 3.75/5 Well researched, but slow and a bit dry. Not as engaging as I hoped but a really enjoyable book with some fun facts.

Up next is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams: Been waiting for too long on this one, my wife has raved about it quite a bit, so I am excited to get into it and the rest of the series of books.

Also working on my chess lessons, only allowed 5 per week on chess.com, so I try to do them all every week, but I missed some last week. I think I am just going to buy diamond membership next renewal. I use it enough to warrant it, I am on a 135 day streak of practice. Also found some biographies to read of Bobby Fischer and Magnus Carlsen on goodreads.

All the cats love this Wet/Dry Vac box we got from Home Depot. Seems to still be pretty durable.

I got some Apple Fritter flower packed, and Bell's Two Hearted from a Walmart 12 pack. BB 8/16/2026. I love centennial hops. Tasting awesome as usual.

    Cheers

Probably my new favorite song from them, Beato did a breakdown of it. Super reggae feel.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar! Looks like it'll be a decent day - low 80s - up until it rains. Did my morning lap of the local parks so now it's (distinctly not) Miller time:

Good Morning everyone! Rick Beats is awesome @superspak , I believe @LarryV introduced me to him via WBAYDN. Last of this vintage, looking forward to a fresh pack after my inventory dwindles.

I've watched Beatos for about a year now, it's very informative and entertaining. A good watch for music lovers past and present.

One of my gaming friends from High School gifted me a key to Soulframe. Same people that make Warframe that I played in the past. This seems like a cool MMORPG story setup so far. I had to tweak the graphics to Medium with some upscaling for an FPS that didn't piss me off, I still got a GTX1060 6GB. Still rock solid PNY.

Victory Berry Monkey. Amazing stuff as usual. Love this sour. Pretty jammy, very drinkable, crisp, and mildly puckering. One of my wife's favorite beers now.

Been 3 years since me and Julia saw Rhapsody of Fire. We got a pic with the band, Alex is the only OG member left, but the current guitarist Roberto De Micheli is amazing. Didn't get a pic with him though, he walked away when I was in line :weary: There will be a next time.

I figured you also game! Since I am a single player only some of my current games in rotation are: Icarus (I would play with you on this to break my own damn single player rule and would love to buy you this as well for you to try lol), House Flipper 1 and 2, and now the House Flipper Remastered, Subnautica series, and I enjoyed the Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2.

    And kitties! Love em!

    Happy Monday BAs

Usual morning hike in with Emma - now prepping lunch stuff - going to get up to 90 today and most of this week will be toasty - not even "officially" summer for 2 more weeks....yikes!

    Perfect beer for warm weather!

Hell yea dude. I got House Flipper as well, love simulation games. A lot of my Steam library is just Humble Bundle grabs for a $10 donation, I'd recommend the website. Just bought Sim City 3000 and 4 when they were on sale on Steam. As an automotive Engineer geek, Car Mechanic Simulator is an addiction. I have been kind of slacking lately on the gaming, trying to get more into it other than casual games like Candy Crush I just play for a thing to do when I listen to audiobooks  I love looter FPS like Borderlands a lot too. I got high specialized sniper classes. I used to play Fortnite with my Nephew for a while, we won a few matches too, good times.

Avery Tweak '26 courtesy of @Prager62. I had no idea they remade this one, but I'm happy they did. Big, intense freshly-ground coffee and bourbon barrel (bourbon spirit, charred oak, vanillin) presence with supporting notes of brownie edges, bittersweet and dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and roasted malt. Quite a drinkable body, but the gloriously intense flavors and some booze coming through on the finish will still have you sipping this one. Really enjoying this blast from the past. Thanks, Jim!

Tree House - Emperor Julius to start the day here. This is a pretty fantastic 8.8% abv juicebomb filled with Citra and Amarillo hops. Big notes of peaches, apricot, juicy tropical stone fruit, ripe mango, pineapple, grapefruity orange citrus, and dank floral earthy pine. Cheers all!
