Haah I like the name of the modern times society, "the league of partygoers & elegant people". Can anyone explain how you get in? Or was it just part of their kickstarter? Thanks!

Looking forward to that Caribbean rum BA MP with vanilla bean

It was one of the Kickstarter rewards and Jacob has (quite graciously) allowed the existing membership to continue indefinitely until he decides what to do with it moving forward as far as renewals, disbanding it, or whatever else he might decide. No other way to get in at this point, but if there is in the future, it will be quite well publicized on this forum.

    Nicaraguan & Caribbean are $28 + tax & bpt. Variants are $30 + tax & bpt

Lol quoted your original post but then it quoted your edited post and I didn't see that last part.

Yes, sounds a bit expensive. Especially for 6 months in the barrel?...

No brewery should call their own beer whalez.

First batch of monsters park ba was flatter then Kansas.

2nd was the count nut and that was meh at best,

3rd batch the brewery is already self proclaiming them as whalez, and in my opinion they haven't produced a good BA beer yet.

3 strikes and ur out mt.

Charging almost 2x the price as any of any of firestone ' s ba beers.

And the same price was a ba veit speedway (which is a whale but alesmith didn't have to tell us)

Mt congratulations u lost my business.

Will someone please kindly share the email or the details? I didn't seem to get it. Will it be Brown Paper Tickets? Bottle limits? When?

    Thanks

We're very excited to announce the forthcoming release of Monsters' Park--our hulking, cantankerous, 13% ABV imperial stout--aged in rum barrels! This beer spent 6 months aging in Caribbean & Nicaraguan rum barrels, and the results are thunderous.

In addition to the 'classic' editions, we also have three variants available: Caribbean Rum w/ Vanilla Beans, Nicaraguan Rum w/ Coconut & Cocoa Nibs, & Nicaraguan Rum w/ Rum Barrel-Aged Coffee. All three are immensely flavorful riffs on cockstaggeringly delicious base beers.

Bottles will go on-sale this Friday, May 29th at 10am via Brown Paper Tickets; all bottles must be picked up at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room during the two month pick-up window. We'll celebrate the release on Thursday, June 4th (the first pick-up day) with a party at the tasting room. We'll have rad beers on-tap, and it'll be super happy fun times.

You may want to get your sarcasm detector looked at. This brewery has constantly been tongue and cheek with the whole terms that are used in the craft beer scene. Hell, danksauce, bro and the stickiest of the ickiest are all terms they playfully toss around.

Perhaps you should take beer less seriously, or maybe you actually use the term whalez in a non-ironic way and just want it to hold that seriousiness that you claim it should hold? I don't even know, man.

Cause, I mean, you really can't honestly think a "whale" is something you can get off BPT anyway, right? If you actually held any weight or merit to that stupid term anyway.

It jumped the shark over a year ago; people just didn't get the memo.

I wasn't going to get any - tight on funds and all that - but when I saw that they used my favorite word (by a cockstaggeringly large margin) I decided that I'll probably get a few of the variants.
