I am 2 hours south of Tampa, all this talk about regular being infected is stressing me out . Every year we buy bourbon county it is a investment . Also a true joy to have occasionally and see how much the beer develops . Well since all this talk I decided to open one last night . My bottles are all dated 6 Oct 15 . 1326 . My bottle was beautiful , I keep all of mine in a wine cellar at 55°. So hopefully I can continue to enjoy this amazing beer over the next 3 to 5 years as I have always done .

I had a 10NOV15 0952 last night and it was starting to take a turn for the worst. Mild tartness on the nose and the residual sweetness was no longer there.

Yup. Ryan, we should mention we did this side-by-side with the 11/4 bottle (0940) that had been kept unrefrigerated and the other 11/4 bottle (1147) that had been kept in the fridge since December (both purchased in Miami on Black Friday) and the difference between the two were night and day.

The aroma and flavors were like two different beers. One was metallic on the nose with a sour cherry finish and very unpleasant. The other was boozy fudgy deliciousness.

Now the question is, were both bottles infected and the one kept in the fridge just isn't showing any signs yet, or did something happen with the bottling line between those time stamps?

Which one was bad? (those of us with 11/4 14.3% abv want to know)...

I opened a 9/30 bottle last night. Stored the same way as my infected 10/21 bottles (bought at room temp from the store, store for a couple of months at 70 degrees, and then refridgerated.) 9/30 was great. Everything that was missing from the 10/21 bottles. I will say, the 9/30 bottle was a bit thinner than a 2014 bottle that I opened last week .

The 0940 one was the bad one.

Had a 9/30 from the Tampa area last night as well. It, like my 10/21 bottle, was delicious.

I understand some may not like second hand info, but a buddy that does not post here unfortunately told me he had a soured one last night. It was purchased in VA, 21OCT15 1745 14.3%.

Drank a 23 Oct Saturday (4/16) purchased in MD. It was great. No issues. Also drank a 21 Oct last Friday (4/15) that was great. That said, YMMV.

Very interesting. This is the first report I've seen of a 10NOV15 bottle with issues. I've had (2) 10NOV15 1124 in the past week. Both were phenomenal. Sorry to hear yours may not have aged as well.

It seems like we're seeing reports for quite a few dates and both ABV's at this point.

But according to Goose Island: "After testing all of them, our brewers determined that the only variants that demonstrated off-flavors were Coffee and BW"

Yeah I have some other 10NOV15 bottles, different batches, so I'm hoping they're okay.

The 11/4 bottles with the time stamps of 0940 and 0941 were bad.

Keep the reports coming, y'all. When I pop one of my 10/21's, I'll have a Sunday Morning Stout warming in the bull pen. Hoping for the best. Strange, but I have 5 bottles, purchased at 2 different shops, all bottle coded 1 minute apart. I wonder how many bottles fly off the line(s) in a minute.

11/4/15 1054 & 1413 both infected. 1054 opened with a group of bourbon county lovers and everyone was very upset at the sour metallic aroma and flavor.
