    From the insider email:
    2014 Stone Imperial Russian Stout
    Debuts Monday, March 24th

On Monday, this year's gloriously rich, heavy and massively flavorful Stone Imperial Russian Stout will make its regal presence felt across the nation. Check out the newly updated official Stone Imperial Russian Stout page for tasting notes and food-pairing suggestions to enhance your encounter with this liquid magnificence. This hefty brew complements a surprising variety of dishes, but some fans insist that nothing will ever top the way that a scoop of coffee or chocolate ice cream brings out the roasty goodness, deep coffee and dark fruit flavors of this luscious stout. Hmmmm...better try both just to make sure that you don't miss out on any of the myriad flavor nuances to be savored in this exercise in bottled decadence.

I swear on my life I saw a case of this at Pear Deli/Shoppe in Pike's Place market last week. I remember thinking wow they have the 2014 version...

They seem to send out press releases once the beer is already available in most places. We've had IRS in SC for a week or 2 now

I just bought 3 of the mixed bomber four packs with these in at Costco for $16.99. Awesome deal for those beers.

Got the notice from BevMo that it was now in stock, but turned out to be false. Apparently they use the same SKU for all their seasonal releases, and it was actually Old Guardian that came in. Frustrating.

Even with a TON of fantastic RIS available to most of us this beer stands out in the crowd. Always impressed every time I get the pleasure of drinking a bomber weather fresh or aged.

    Cheers!

Although it makes odd years that much better, not having a special release makes even year releases seem kinda boring.

Still a fantastic RIS and I'll be grabbing 2-3.

Has anyone noticed a price increase, the only place I've seen it this year was priced $2 more than last ($9)?

Always grab a few of these each year, great stuff. Still one of my favorite RIS. Just picked up a couple bottles from 06, can't wait to pop those open!

I really enjoyed the Espresso version last year. I will probably pick up the regular again though also as it is pretty tasty.

I've had Stones RIS few times in the past and am I the only one who thinks it has a strong alcohol in the taste? Oh am I'm used to drinking +10 abv stouts but I find this one not as well balanced compared to other RIS out there

My shop just posted pics on Fbook at $9 each. As usual everything is more expensive here, Enjoy By is $10.
