Santa Margarita, Calif. — Firestone Walker Brewing Co. and the historic Santa Margarita Ranch are partnering up again to put on ‘From the Barrel’ one of the premier events on the Central Coast. The finest ports, bourbons and beers will be gathered and presented to a privileged congregation of barrel enthusiasts at this special event on Friday, March 30 from 7pm-10pm.
This unique event will take place at the picturesque barn at historic Santa Margarita Ranch, the perfect backdrop for this intimate event. Tickets are very limited and $60 a person.
Bourbons scheduled to pour include: Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, Jim Beam Black, Woodford Reserve, Eagle Rare 10 year and several others including small production California spirit makers.
Ports and Porto wines from some of the Central Coast’s premiere wineries will also be featured. Wineries scheduled to pour are Cass, Roxo Cellars and Le Vigne with several more to come.
Rare barrel aged beers from California breweries Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Lost Abbey, Ballast Point and Russian River. New this year will be two out of state breweries, Jolly Pumpkin from Michigan and Crooked Stave from Colorado.
These rich and complex beverages will be accompanied by tapas offerings from some of the Central Coast’s finest chefs.
Guests will enjoy tapas from Windows on the Water, Rooney’s Irish pub, Novo, Cass Winery, An Affaire to Remember Catering and other restaurants yet to be named.
From the barrel is a celebration of the end of prohibition by taking a look back at that era. So dress up and get into the spirit of the 20s and 30s.
Guests will also be treated to live music that will really set the mood for the event.
Don your glad rags, raise a glass and join us to celebrate the end of temperance and the amazing flavors that can only come from the barrel.
