on tap at Blind Tiger. Old Ringworm with bourbon oak chips.
pours opaque brown with minimal head and no lacing. got some legs, though.
aroma is understated, but vanilla, ash, and warm alcohol come through.
taste is loaded with bourbon, oak and vanilla, but with a dry finish and a bite of booze. some nutty flavors of pecan and walnut, and some Christmas spice that more than balances the sweetness.
mouthfeel is smooth and slick with alcohol, moderate to low carbonation appropriate to the oak aging.
quite enjoyable on a brisk nyc night. well done.
