For a barrel aged, brett beer I was expecting a little more funk, sour and complexity. Didn't really get as much as I was hoping for. Now if you go into this beer expecting a well made standard strong Belgian Pale Ale (I think this one clocks in at 8%), then it will be quite satisfying as its very well crafted for a Belgian Stong Pale Ale. As Mongrel mentioned, perhaps with some age in the cellar this beer will evolve some.

I think this is a Brett'd Belgian blonde. Not much info on the label except that it's spent some time in oak. Really nice and fruity, with restrained Belgian spiciness and a light farmhouse character. Just a touch of oak and a really soft, creamy feel. Finishes pretty dry, although I'd prefer it even dryer. Maybe some time in the cellar will accomplish that.
